1. General provisions

If a consumer purchases goods/services via a website, such mutual agreement is considered a distance contract and is subject to the laws of the Republic of Latvia governing distance contracts, including, but not limited to, the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia, the Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia on Distance Contracts, etc. but not limited to, the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia, the Regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia “Regulations on Distance Contracts,” etc.

2. Making purchases

The prices and specifications of products sold in the online store are indicated next to the products.

To place an order, add the desired products to your shopping cart. Fill in all the required fields and select the most suitable delivery method. The total cost of your order, including delivery, will then be displayed on the screen. Proceed to checkout to complete your order.

3. Payment terms

The currency used on the website is the euro. Purchases can be paid for using the following payment methods provided by the payment platform makecommerce.lv, Maksekeskus AS:

  • Latvian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, Citadele and Luminor
  • Estonian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, Luminor
  • Lithuanian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, and Luminor
  • Payments via Somija’s internet bank: Aktia, Ålandsbanken, Danske, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Oma Säästopankki, Pohjola, POP Pankki, S-Pankki, Säästopankki
  • Visa/Mastercard payments

NB! When using the online banking payment method, confirm your order and click on the “Return to merchant” button.

Personal data required for making payments is transferred to the licensed payment institution Maksekeskus AS.

The contract shall enter into force upon successful payment to the online store’s bank account. If for any reason it is not possible to fulfill the order, the Buyer will be informed and the amount paid will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after receipt of the notification.

4. Delivery terms

Goods are delivered to the following countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. Purchased goods are delivered using: parcel terminals and postal services. All fees and taxes payable to receive the shipment at its destination shall be borne by the Buyer. Delivery costs are displayed before the order is confirmed. Purchased goods are delivered to the address specified by the Buyer within 7-14 working days. In exceptional cases, we reserve the right to deliver goods within 45 calendar days, informing the customer thereof.

5. Right of withdrawal

The buyer has the right to refuse the goods within 14 calendar days from the moment of receipt of the goods. (Depending on the goods, the buyer may not have the right of refusal, in which case the reason must be clearly stated and explained). The right of withdrawal does not apply if the Buyer is a legal entity.

In order to exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal, the goods may only be used for their intended purpose, and the consumer is responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of the goods during the withdrawal period. If the goods are used inappropriately or damaged, if the goods are treated carelessly during use or if the instructions are not followed, if the original packaging of the goods is lost or if the packaging is significantly damaged, the online store has the right to reduce the refund amount in accordance with the reduction in the value of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must submit a withdrawal form, which can be found here: https://findpet.lv/atmaksas-politika/, by sending it to the email address info@findpet.lv within 14 days of receiving the goods. It is good practice to provide customers with free return shipping. This increases trust in the online store, which will help improve sales.

The following sentence applies to online stores that cannot offer free returns. The buyer shall bear the cost of returning the goods, except where the reason for the return is that the goods do not correspond to the order (e.g., incorrect or damaged product).

The Buyer is obliged to return the Goods to the Seller without delay, but no later than 14 days after sending the withdrawal form to the online store. Upon receipt of the returned Goods, the online store shall immediately, but no later than within 14 days, refund all payments received from the Buyer on the basis of the Distance Contract.

The Seller has the right to withhold payment until it has received confirmation from the Buyer that the Goods have been returned. If the Buyer has chosen a different shipping method than the cheapest shipping method offered by the online store, the online store is not obliged to compensate for the excess shipping costs.

The online store is not responsible for delays in fulfilling its obligations or failure to fulfill them, or other types of non-fulfillment caused by circumstances and obstacles beyond the reasonable control of the online store.

The online store reserves the right to refuse to sell goods and request the return of goods from the Buyer if the price indicated in the online store is significantly lower than its market price due to an error.

6. Consumer rights regarding goods that do not comply with the contract

The online store is responsible for any non-compliance of goods sold to the Buyer with the terms of the contract or defects that arise within 6 months after the date of delivery of the goods to the customer, or were present at the time of delivery, if such an assumption does not contradict the nature of the goods or the defect. The Buyer must inform the Seller of the non-compliance of the goods immediately, within 2 months after its discovery, i.e., submit a complaint. The Buyer can submit a complaint by contacting the online store, writing to info@findpet.lv.

The online store is not responsible for defects that arise after the goods have been delivered to the Buyer. If the purchased goods have defects for which the Seller is responsible, the Buyer has the right to request that the defects be remedied or that the goods be replaced with new goods free of charge.

If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, the Seller shall refund the Buyer all payments specified in the Distance Contract. The Seller shall provide a written response to the consumer’s complaint within 15 days.

7. Processing of the buyer's personal data

The online store only processes personal data that the buyer has entered when ordering goods, such as name, surname, email address, etc.

The online store transfers personal data to the transport service provider(s) in order to ensure the delivery of goods.

If you have expressly agreed to receive our marketing communications, including newsletters, we may contact you from time to time with information about our services and latest offers. For this purpose, we may process your email address, which you provided when you signed up for marketing communications. The buyer has the option to opt out of marketing communications by notifying us by writing to info@findpet.lv.

8. Dispute resolution procedure

In matters not covered by these terms and conditions, the Buyer and Seller undertake to comply with the regulatory enactments in force in the Republic of Latvia.

The Parties shall resolve all disputes arising between the Seller and the Buyer through mutual negotiations or correspondence. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiations or correspondence, the Parties shall resolve the dispute in a court of the Republic of Latvia, in accordance with the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia. Disputes between the Buyer (consumer) and the Seller may be referred for resolution to the Consumer Rights Protection Center or a court of the Republic of Latvia.

The buyer also has the right to refer the matter to the European Union dispute resolution authorities.
